Mrs. Gibson

This is my 11th year as an Eagle in the Special Education department. This year, I will be co-teaching one section of Earth Science and one section of U.S. History. I will also be teaching a section of Foundation Civics, two sections of Dual Credit U.S. History and a section of Dual Credit Art History. In addition, I am the Student Council sponsor and the NHS sponsor for Civic Memorial High School.

I completed my undergraduate studies at Northern Illinois University with a dual major in History and Art History, and teaching certification in Special Education, Art, and Social Studies. I also have a Master's degree in Art History, and another Master's degree in History from SIUE.

My husband and I have two children, a 22 year old boy and a 20 year old girl. I enjoy traveling, reading, gardening and outdoor activities. I was born in South Africa, lived in several European countries, have visited numerous national parks and historic sites. I love science, art, and history! I'm looking forward to the coming school year.
