Useful Links

As we incorporate technology into the classroom setting, students have the opportunity to work with many different websites that provide innovating ways of teaching, and new ways to study. As we work with these sites, I will make sure to make the links available here.

I will start with my absolute favorite link for just about any science topic. Kahn academy provides mini tutorials online that are easy to follow and will add to your understanding. https://www.khanacademy.org

The University of Colorado has put together some great science simulations. We use these simulations in class, but they are also great to practice with at home. https://phet.colorado.edu/en/simulations/category/by-level

Since we be learning about the solar system, we have often used NASA's space place to gain additional knowledge. Feel free to browse through this site at home too. http://spaceplace.nasa.gov/

For tons of information, and to stay on top of new developments, I love to read through the website How stuff works. Check it out here. http://www.howstuffworks.com/

Foss Science - a great science link we have used in class and which can be a great resource for you. Remember practicing the periodic table? This site was designed by the University of Berkley and goes into a number of different fields in science. http://www.fossweb.com/
